Sarah's Hooter Hider

This is my take on the "Hooter Hider" the difference is that this one covers your shoulder and around you back. I found the original didn't cover enough. I hope this works I am adding a link to my Free pattern let me know if you can't see teh pdf. I made simplified t the pattern a little. I didn't show the pocket I made from the dart scrap and I used I much thinker binding on the bottom in the pattern. I hope teh pattern makes sense I am not good at explaining things.

with the modification it was necessary to make it reversible since it was no longer symmetrical.

it works nice as a car seat cover too.

1 Hour project

I have been collecting cheep pillows for a while with plans to recover them. I also have been collecting fabric from the remnant bin. finally I put it all together. I was surprised how fast it all went together. It only took about an hour to make all 4 pillow and that induced hand sewing them closed. I don't know why it took me this long to get to this project it makes a difference to my bare couch to have a few pillows.

sorry about the terrible pictures

Headboard

I want to make a headboard for my guest room I was thinking of this leather look headboard.
In a perfect world I would have this done before the baby comes but then I would have the side chair for that room redone too but sadly I don't think I will get to either that soon. I want to paint all the wood on the chair white and recover with the green print.Well it is something to look forward to.

For the Family

no more puddles of water on the living room table now that Eric has a nice insulated mug sleeve

and it is aptly named

this week is supposed to be the coldest Houston has ever seen in 10 years and my kids don't have warm coats. Today's project fleece hoodies because it is going to be only low of 20F (-5C) high of 34F (+5C)
each cost less than $5 from the remnant bin

David insisted on a hood up picture

David was told by his teacher he could not have ice in his water bottle because it left too much condensation on his desk problem solves insulated bottle holder. He is thrilled because it is like Dad,s one and the shoulder strap is a big hit
