Muted Paisley Patchwork

Adorable Aprons

I wanted to find a cute and inexpensive gift for my sister. I have 10 sister and sister-in-laws so it had to be reasonably quick as well. These Aprons fit the bill. I also can personalize them to each personality.

I have never made a car seat cover and I didn't have a pattern but how hard can it be?

This cover is for my sister in Canada so I added a zip out blanket.

Let's try something new

Bright and Fun

Tweaking the Design

Some times when I am working on a quilt I realize my design doesn't look that good. I often have to tweak the design to make it look good. Here is an example take a look at these picture.I started out with a light colored border but it looked funny so I replaced it with a dark one... Much better.

Unconventional in Black and White

Unisex Quilts

I found this really cute fabric at Hancock fabric in Conroe. I was not sure of my design so I estimated high on fabric. it turned out I have enough fabric for 2 quilts. Problem the 2 quilts I was planing on starting where for a boy and a girl. No problem these fabrics where not traditional pink or blue. I thought this fabric could go either way. So I girled one up with ribbon and used green yarn on the other.

Ike Quilt

During Hurricane Ike I was antsy because I could not work on any of my projects without electricity. With Eric away in Scotland I had lots of quiet evenings. I decided that back in the day all quilts where made by hand and if they could do it I could too. This is my quilt 100% made by hand. I sew it together by hand, appliqué by hand and quilted by hand. It was fun and really easy. I was surprised how fast it went. Well it waws a little quilt only 20"x20".
